A familiar voice will return to the local airwaves this fall when St. Cloud State graduate John Hadden will assume play-by-play duties for Husky football and men's and women's basketball.

After spending three seasons as the play-by-play announcer for the Mankato Moondogs baseball team of the Northwoods League, and his most recent job as an announcer for the Idaho Falls Chukars of the Pioneer Baseball League, Madden said he is glad to be coming back home.

If soccer matches were only 30 minutes long, the Coyotes would have a lot more success in this short season. USD held Wyoming to a 0-0 draw in the first 35 minutes of their match.

But the match is 90 minutes long and once Wyoming scored their first goal at the 35th minutes, the flood gates opened.

The USD Coyotes opened their first year as a Division I program in impressive fashion with a 52-0 victory over St. Ambrose on Saturday night in the DakotaDome. Quarterback Noah Shepard and running back Chris Ganious led the way for the Coyotes and the defense held strong in their shutout win over NAIA St.
