Next Wednesday students will have a chance to tell Minnesota lawmakers their opinions on past legislation and their ideas for future bills at the annual Lobby Day at the state capitol. In response to the Spur's Jan. 22 editorial regarding the Student Senate, the standpoint to which the editorial department has the subject is in the slant which points to Senate as a group of renegade radicals who only think, care, and act about their own issues and problems.
The Super Bowl: a picture of dichotomy

Football is America's sport; I make this statement with no reservation. Baseball has been plagued with player strikes and a miserable commissioner, the basketball season is too long for the average American's attention span, and golf... McDonalds. It's quick, easy and you don't have to worry about doing the cooking. There's nothing better than a slab of processed beef topped with all the fixings (including those weird looking pickles that manage to teeter on the line between artificial and natural).
