It's been a year since I came to Southwest Minnesota State University and I realized that the International Student Organization office has not organized many dance parties. Last semester, if I'm correct, there were only couples of dance parties. This semester it's even less, only once did ISO organize a dance party, on Valentine's Day.

I'm not saying that ISO is not organizing any dance parties. However, as I realized, the problem is with lack of free halls. There is no space for dance parties. The college should give priorities for dance parties. Dance parties provide a time and place for students to have a wonderful time and forget about their worries and studies for a while. It is also the time when students feel great and enjoy themselves.
I know that ISO gives priorities to dance parties but, the ISO also gives excuses that even though there are many halls in our college but these halls are booked by some other events like meetings. I talked with the president of ISO and his reply was there is no free halls to organize any dance parties.

So, I request whoever is in-charge of organizing these event that they should also focus on events like dance parties. I don't expect dance parties in this semester because this semester is already coming to an end and also our finals are near. However, I would expect more dance parties in coming semesters.
