Have no fear, those of you who have the menu in the cafeteria basically memorizzed for each day of the week: Something new is coming to the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University that will add a little flavor to your otherwise routine eating schedule.

Beginning Feb. 10, green Bistro will be open to the public every Wednesday night (except for March 10 and 17) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Located in IL 117, this restaurant aims to provide an alternative dining venue for students as well as the residents of Marshall.

The green Bistro will be fully operated by students majoring in culinology or hospitality management. At the head of all of the students, there will be a new chef in charge of running the restaurant, Justin Kanthak, the Corporate Chef for Food Service at Schwan's.

The menu at the Bistro is sure to beat out the chicken nuggets and pasta bar you are used to in the cafeteria. The menu consists of different appetizers, soup, salads, four main entrees, four different desserts and several beverages. The complete menu and costs of all items can be found on the green Bistro's website, http://greenbistro.net.

It is preferred that you make reservations on their website to dine there, but it is not required.

Start adding a little excitement to your usual Wednesday nights and head over to the green-A New American Bistro for a delicious change of pace.
